Cardinal River Counseling

Where Spring is Eternal

Usually people enter into counseling during a winter. It’s cold and dreary and the hopes of spring that were once there, don’t glimmer anymore.

Unloved, unworthy, enraged, dissatisfied. Sound like how you're feeling? Then, you're in the right place. When a loved one is experiencing addiction, life can seem frustrating and hopeless. It does not have to be.

In the winter of my life, I realized that I needed some support, a gentle reminder that spring was coming. Like a cardinal, perched on an icy river bank, I needed someone else to hold the hope for me until I was ready to acknowledge that spring was coming. For more information on how you can find your hope, see below.

Story

"You are not supposed to be happy all the time. Life hurts and it's hard. Not because you're doing it wrong, but because it hurts for everybody. Don't avoid the pain. You need it. It's meant for you. Be still with it. Let it come, let it go, let it leave you with the fuel you'll burn to get your work done on this earth"
